Bibles, Diapers, Feminine Hygiene Products, Food, Clothes....AND some LADY BLING

6 Days before Julia came to me with the formal idea of "Angel Project", the Lord had given me a word and specific instructions. We were driving to her hometown Cabo Frio, Rio De Janeiro to visit her family- a trip that normally takes 10 hours but for some reason my google maps was showing that it would take around 14 HOURS! Google was showing that there was a road closure and was taking us 4 hours out of the way as a result. I was mad, tired and also worried about the safety of the route and the extra gas due to the added distance. After about 4 hours on the road, I asked my wife to put the address in her phone and her google maps was saying that we would arrive in 6 hours, while mine was showing 10. I became convinced that one of us had put in the wrong address so we cancelled the route and did it again. Mine showed 10 hours to arrival and hers still showed 6. Not knowing which one to trust, I decided to keep both phones open. After about another hour of driving, my phone was wanting me to get off the highway but her phone was saying to continue straight. I decided to keep straight, and about that time it donned on me. We hadn't paid a single toll this whole trip and typically by this point we would have already paid 3 or 4. I checked my Maps settings and saw that I had selected "avoid tolls" which had taken us off the beaten path. At that moment, I realized that it wasn't a mishap or a mistake- it was a lesson. Then I felt the Lord tell me that he needs me to drive the car, but my directions will come from Julia and her directions will come from Him. The tolls represented an actual price that will have to be paid and that there is no way to avoid them. I never mentioned this to Julia. When she reads this, it will be the first time I have told her (love you baby). So when she came to me with this project 6 days later. I knew it would be expensive- which was scary, because we have survived SOLEY on what the Lord has provided this year. We aren't regularly supported by any churches or ministry. We don't even have a couch in our own home and so when she started about all her ideas, I could only imagine the cost. Fast forward 3 weeks. 3 WEEKS!! We have bought nearly 1000 diapers, 500 feminine products, hundreds of shampoos and soaps, adult and childrens bibles, clothes, and food....all made possible by friends and family on facebook who joined our cause! In addition to these practical resources, every woman will also receive some "lady bling" AKA "Queen kits". Join us in prayer that these women will feel the tidal wave of God's love. Pray that God will use July 30th to forever mark the lives of these women. Pray that the spirit of love and adoptionship will overwhelm them and they will feel the embrace of the Father!
